Will you be ready when your ‘Someday’ becomes a reality? I can’t speak for the rest of the family but I definitely was not. Joel and I talked about buying property and dreamt of it for years. We originally had a 5 year plan that turned into a 14 year plan when we purchased our first house together. To be honest I was sure we would live in suburbia forever. Thank God I was wrong!!
Joel and I used to say ‘someday’ we will get property, ‘someday’ I won’t have to board my horse, for 14 years ‘someday’ was a dream.
‘Someday’ came on a random Monday and our lives changed forever! We weren’t purposely looking to buy when Joel found our farm on Zillow but in a week we had made an offer on our 4 acres and put our house on the market. It was one of the craziest, hardest, and emotional things I have ever done (just know I have given birth multiple times and it was harder than that!).
So I guess the point of this post is to hold on to your dream if you haven’t yet been able to make the transition. We are a comedy of errors as we are all born city folk, but we are trying and having a blast doing it! I can’t wait to take you on our journey. It won’t always be pretty, it will be dirty, hairy and sometimes gross.
It will also be crazy and we are so happy to have you along for the ride.
