Who are we, and where the heck is WildFir Farm?

WildFir Farm is located in Sandy, OR. If you know the area, you’ll understand (without giving away too much about our exact location) why we chose the name. We moved in to this nearly 4 acre farm after living in the city of Sandy, in a subdivision for 15 years. That house in the subdivision was supposed to be our “5 year plan” to leapfrog us to our dream of owning property of our own, bringing my wife’s horse home, and basically being able to spread out and stretch our legs in the country. When this property came up for sale, we had to jump on it, and the rest is history (more on that in a blog post).

We are Heather and Joel and our daughter who lives with us, Emmie. We also have two other daughters Cortney and Maddy and a son Gregory that are off living their lives as adults. On the farm we currently have two dogs, two burros and two horses. No, I’m not building an ark behind the barn. We also have chickens on the way!
